Evander Kane Scores First Playoff Goal(s)

It took Evander Kane 574 games to make the playoffs. But it only took him one to score his first career playoff goal.

On Thursday April 12, Kane suited up for his first career playoff game, a Game 1 matchup against the Anaheim Ducks. Anticipation was high for the second meeting of this specific Battle of California matchup, the first since 2009.

After a scoreless first period, both the Sharks and the Ducks were amped up in the second period, chomping at the bit to score the game's first goal. About a quarter into that second period, the Ducks took two penalties in quick succession, giving the Sharks a 1:45 5-on-3. The Sharks wasted no time taking advantage of that opportunity.
